For us as for many, 2012 points to a new potential in human consciousness, a transitional portal in alignment with galactic center. While the world can still be seen as a roiling hell pit, a significant historic shift in values is also evident and many of us are experimenting with models of a freer, fairer, more eco-conscious lifestyle. The darkness is always there and so is the light. Yin has a small eye of yang and the yang a small eye of yin, portals to which we can go if we choose. Humanity is moving toward a planetary civilization with growth pangs conspicuous in the financial, social and ecological breakdowns throughout the world. Will we mature as a species beyond our self-indulgent greed and ignorance and take responsibility for healing the web of life? There are many intriguing signs of hope. Progressive spiritual leaders see the 21st century as a time of dialogue between clashing worldviews. It is possible for religious faiths to show the way toward unity and re-sacralizing nature, and entheogens, are already playing a role in this shift. Creative arts can provide the rhythms and iconography of global harmony. A worldview that holds the life-web as sacred presents the evolutionary process as an expression of Divine Source. God is the supreme artist and cosmos the evolving masterpiece of creation. People value, protect and preserve masterpieces and what is sacred. Venerating holy sites and contemplating spiritual objects brings awareness of our own divinity, a remembrance of utmost importance in these beleaguered times. Consider the miracle that 3.6 billion years ago there was only blue-green algae on earth. The evolution to present day complex biological bodies and minds is a demonstration of cosmic love and intelligence becoming self aware. God manifests unlimited beauty and invites us to witness and take a role in the grandest aesthetic adventure imaginable, becoming a conscious co-creator of our life. Even in our brief existence, how could we despair?

Love,

Alex and Allyson

P.S. We are heading off to Egypt this weekend to commune with Spirit in the pyramid and temples, we pray for your health and safety over these next two weeks, and we ask you to pray for ours.

God does not imply gender to me. IT implies all things infinite to me. Alex speaks of the Divine aspect of God.

Yet another...

God has traditionally been described using masculine terms in Christian scripture and theology. While this has sometimes given rise to the idea that Christians consider God to be male,[citation needed] the majority of Christians believe that God transcends gender.[1][2][3]

The exception to this is Jesus Christ, who is considered God incarnate by the vast majority of Christians, and is clearly male.[4][5][not in citation given]

As and example, we re-posted your post on facebook and the very first response we received back was "Hallelujah".  Here is the wiki definition of this term:  Hallelujah, also spelled halleluiahhalleluyah, and the Latin form alleluia are transliterations of the Hebrew word הללויה (Modern halleluyaTiberian halləlûyāh) meaning "Praise Yah".[1] The last syllable is from the first two letters of the name of GOD!!!, YHWH (written JHVH in Latin). Hallelujah is found primarily in the book of Psalms. The word is used in Judaism as part of the Hallel prayers, and in Christian prayer.[2] It has been accepted into the English language and has a similar pronunciation in many other languages.

We don't like how you used the term "God".  This term implies gender.  There are Gods and Goddesses.  Please, IF you are referencing that which is beyond name, word, description, and gender... Then please search for a name, or word that is perhaps a little more All encompassing.  You may place masculine value within your idea of what "God" is and also place feminine value with the terms "cosmos" or "creation", but you might as well have the terms all jumbled up. Even if YOU don't place these values as we have stated, the subconscious doesn't care.  Also, it occurs to us that you may just be speaking within these terms in order to relate on a more communicative level to those who you seek to reach. By selecting terms people naturally associate with by ritual or habit even, you run the gambit between reaching out to people on their level playing ground, so they can understand what you are trying to relate and conceding to the use of an outdated ideology which presents a dualism.  If unity is what you seek to accomplish... you must first stop being that supreme artist God (Allyson or Alex?).  We are wishing the safest of travels to the both of you on your Journey to the heartland of this world.  May the Goddesses bless and protect you along your path(s), and may the Gods seek you out wherever thine soul dost go forth. We Love Us :)
